General Terms
Minimum enrollment requirement for all studio workshops is 5. Students will be notified if this number is not reached 60 days before the first day of class. At that time, they will be given the choice of either enrolling in another workshop, availability permitting, or having their payment refunded.
The Florence Academy of Art reserves the right to substitute instructors of any course at the last minute or during the session. The specific instructor for the course is allocated according to the session and class available once the applicant’s place has been confirmed.
Acceptance & Payment
Once you apply and are accepted, you will receive an acceptance email with information on housing, materials and payment of the non-refundable deposit due immediately to hold your place. The deposit is non-refundable in all instances, regardless of the reason that prevents the student from attending.
The balance must be received two months before the first day of class. No refunds will be given for cancellation after payment of the balance.
The Florence Academy of Art endeavors to provide an educational environment conducive to encouraging the artistic talents of each student. This requires that all students respect the policies of the Academy, its instructors, and the other students in the program.
By enrolling in the Academy, students agree to subscribe to the Studio Policies available on this website.
Fully Booked: If you selected a workshop marked as ‘fully booked’ you will be placed on our waitlist. Should we have a cancellation or a place becomes available, we will contact you.
List of Housing Agents
We can provide you with a list of housing agents and hotels located within walking distance or a short bus ride from the school for short periods of stay. By enrolling in the Academy, students agree to subscribe to the housing terms available on this website, Housing Terms.
Travel & Documents for Study
All applicants are responsible for their own visa and/or immigration travel papers. Students are responsible for contacting the embassy or consulate in their home countries for up-to-date information on requirements. The Florence Academy of Art is not liable for students not receiving visas or travel documents in time for study in Italy.
