Eric J. Drummond is a Canadian artist who graduated from The Florence Academy of Art in 2019. After completing his training at FAA he returned to London, Ontario where he began his new life as a professional practicing artist.

Inspired by people and their behaviour, Eric expresses himself through portraiture and multi-figural compositions. In this talk, he shares his early influences on art and discusses the philosophies that drive his recent projects, why he feels drawn to the human figure, and some of his favorite artists and artworks. He also guides us through some of the technical approaches he uses to create his works, the reverence he holds for the quality of his materials and his craft, and the importance of ‘drawing’ in paintings.
