An installment in The Process related content featured on The FAA Collective Patreon
Thank you for your support, and a very warm welcome to new members of The FAA Collective! This week we would like to share with you a video featuring Daniel Graves discussing many aspects of a recent painting Salomé’s Rue.
He touches on his choice of model and how it ties into the narrative of the work as well as various aspects of his physical process in designing its composition and his personal methods for painting. The Process of creating a painting takes much more than meets the eye. As Daniel says, there is “no formula for producing a painting,” and the task requires thoughtful consideration of all aspects, from an ideal studio setup and materials to even the artist’s wardrobe.
If you’d like to learn more about Daniel Graves’ painting Salomé’s Rue we also recommend you to watch our video Art Talk w/ Daniel Graves – Mixing your palette to tell a story where Daniel discusses his inspiration for the painting and more! www.patreon.com/posts/art-talk-w-your-31539142.
