At The Florence Academy of Art, we are privileged to have students and faculty from all over the world, each drawing inspiration from a diverse array of artists and artworks. In this week’s lecture, FAA faculty members Tanvi Pathare and Francesco Bianchini, along with Graduate in Residence Andrea Jimenez Carasquillo, share their recent experiences in museums. They explore various artists and schools of painting and sculpture, illustrating how their own works are shaped by art history and the influences of past artists. Focusing on the Skagen painters of Denmark, the works of Anders Zorn, and Bernini’s masterpieces at the Villa Borghese, they remind us that art strikes us when we are ready. “Go and find your favorite artist,” they encourage. “Be inspired and grow with ambition.”
