About

By popular demand, this week we would like to share with you a video lecture created from a recent talk given by Tom Richards on the Spanish painter Joaquín Sorolla.

The material for the lecture recorded at the Florence Academy of Art campus draws on a conference organized by The University of Oxford this past summer, in conjunction with an exhibition that took place at the National Gallery in London.

Richard’s particular contribution to the conference was in reference to Sorolla as a portrait painter.

As the days become shorter in the Northern hemisphere, there is no better time to delve into the world of the master at painting the brilliance of light.

We hope you thoroughly enjoy this condensation of the incredible information presented at the Oxford Sorolla Symposium.
